"Sammie's Tops" idea was started by me, a grandmother of a pediatric cancer patient. A Hickman catheter is inserted into the chest for medication purposes. The problem of taping up the capped tube so it will not hang down can be a problem. The persistent removal of the tape can result in skin irritation and the flow of tears. I knew there had to be a solution to this problem. After some careful thought, and some trial and error, I devised a shirt that will hold up the dangling tube. The apparatus can accommodate either a single tube or a double tube. *Patent Pending*
